This poem 'The Waking' has a meaning of that the author doensn't really want to get out of his bed and keep on sleep, but would take his waking slow for the moment. It describes nature at the same time that it connects between while he's in process of getting out of his bed, how nature is outside of his room.
It's structured in a way that he's talking to himself, how everything be while he's waking up, with matching the connections to God and thoughts he imagining the living orginated from the theme "sleep".
