Assignment8
1. What is voice? What makes a voice unique? How would you describe your writing voice?
Voice is section where it decides of your creative and quality of the writing, in stories and novels. It makes people's voice of writing unique, by creating their writings imaginative and able to hook the audience well also it has to make sense throughout the plot. I would describe my writing voice as not perfect but fair enough, which contains good hooks and interesting features to be creative and come up with my own unique style of writing different to the others.
2. Pretend you are an object in the classroom such desk, pencil, chair, the teacher's shoe, anything! Imagine yourself having a bad day as this object. Write a 500 word narrative describing your bad day from the object's perspective.
I'm a pencil own by one of the dirtiest guy in the school, I always have terrible day, because I have to be feedled with his disgusting stinky hands that are never cleaned off well. That's not all about him, he bangs me everyday to the table, and gets me dissy. My appearance are horrible with scratches everywhere on my body and bits of gums around. I guess that there will be billions of germs on me right now. I always wanted to avoid him, because I get so much stress. So I hoped he would lose me or even throw it away but that never came to truth. He used me for 5years now. I think he's very poor can't even afford new pair of pencils for himself.
The worst part of my day is when the tip runs out, he doesn't sharp to smooth. He scrub it until it doesn't come out at all. Which gives me so much pain through my body.
One day I was so happy that he lost me, and having all the rest I couldn't had it for last 5years. However, he found me at last because he searched me for whole day. I guess his mentally ill, because normally even the people who are poor, they buy even borrows new one from somebody. Anyway, I started all my daily pattern again as used to before.
I think I'm not the only pencil that has this kind of life, because there must be worst person than my owner. So after thinking about this, I felt better had better attitude towards him. After than I had better life and finally went to the person I preffered. I got own by his friend who is girl, and take care of her stuff really carefully. Therefore I changed totally into beautiful looking pencil ever, it's probably the best pencil in the world because since I went then she coated me with new paints and coverings, also she decorated me with shiny attractive stuff. I'm quite small now and nearly finished to be used all tips, but I don't care about how long it's left to be thrown into the bin. I'm just happy enough to be living like this.
After 2years been to new owners hand, I'm feeling so comfortable and not getting any stress or even bad days at all, because she treat me as her precious thing ever. She never bangs me anywhere, also she sharps me occasionally so I don't feel any pain. I think she knows that I'm alive, and not jsut a thing that has no feeling, emotions, etc.
At the end of staying for 5years with her, I got finished using by her and finally she let go of me. I felt so dipressed about missing her and can't be staying with her ever again unless I get recycled and be with her once more, but that's almost impossible to be happened.
I'm now in place where I get remade and be different object, in my next life, I want be stuff like pencil sharperner which helps the other objects and make it useful.

Reflection Questions
I think narrative essay was quite simpler writing style than other type of essays, because it just had to be written explaining the topic about myself also it's direct writing to the audience, which made easier thinking of them.
2.How did you determine what details were relevant and necessary to support your ideas?
I gave myself several questions that which I'm going to talk about, based on topic. It helped me a lot to decide which area was going to be my main theme of essay, and these questions supported me by reminding my memories in the past.
3.How did you create a unique piece of writing?
I created my own unique piece of writing by looking backward my life until now, and chose the most dramtic moment that not many of people have experienced. Therefore I was able to create my own style of essay.
4.How did you craft your writing to meet the audience expectations? What is easy or hard?
I crafted my writing so I could meet the audience's expectations by changing the position of me and the audiene together, which was affective because I was able to figure out what my audience would like to hear about, as same as what I expect to hear from other people's essay. It was easy to figure out however, I think writing those expectation thoughts into my essay was hard because I couldn't just easily trasfer into the writings.
5.How did your personal experience and faith shape the way you told this story?
It talked about my experience mostly in a way that, I was nervous and went so tensioned during the story, with by surprise. It was basically based on my feelings towards the experience I had, which means that I was expressing my feelings to my audience.
6.What would your life be like without the experience?
Without the experince I talked about in essay, then I wouldn't be in TCIS now and wouldn't be speaking and writing English as how I am now. Also maybe, I would be spoilt child in Korean public schools wondering around while my childhood.

hooking the audience, articles
There are steps what to write in each part so you can hook the audience into the story, and it says first is to begin with questions or challenges to your reader so they actually get part with the story and participate, which would help them to pay attention. It also says to end with easy layout sets therefore the audiences are having no difficulties to understand.
The Tell-Tale Heart
Does the story have a good hook?
It does have a good hook, it has even its interesting impression giving in the title of the story. Also the plot inside the actual story gives exciting feelings to the readers because by adding objectives such as disease, which would make suspenses to the reader and catch their attention throughout the story.
Why or why not?
However not all of them are a good example of hooking the audiences, in my opinion the problem that makes not a perfect hook is that the story extends its plot for too long so the whole story gets boring and makes itself to lose its gained suspenses away from the audience.
How does reading a hook in a literary text compare to viewing a hook in a movie?
Reading a hook in a literary text affects the readers more effectively than in a movie because in books for example, they can explain and give out detailed information to the audience which would catch their interests and help them to pay attention while the whole excitement in the plot goes on.
Examples of hook
Through my experience, my hook is from one of the movies because it was interesting. The movie was called The Prestige, when I first saw the movie I didn't knew what the title of the movie was actually meaning properly therefore I got more interested in this movie.
However the main hook was from the story itself, because this movie's genre is like mysterious which makes your brain work things out throughout the movie but it even made me confused at the end of the movie, there was twisted resversed story going on towards the end. You might me thinking that I'm weird because why would I get hooked by these kind of confusing movie story but my favorite movies have mostly the trick plots from the movie.
This hook probably is only for me but it was my best hook movie that I watched recently.
